I do need to see a doctor. (McCoy or House if I was to have a word in this but...)
Firstly it's Saturday evening and I am spending my time in front of the computer. WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY LIFE?!
Secondly, I got the meanest plotbunny in plotbunny's history stuck on my back (you know, that point you will never reach with your hand, no matter how hard you try -..-) and it's screaming at me to abandon my bed and write it. But I AM SO TIRED Q_Q (but the bunny is so tasty too! ;_;)
Thirdly, I am a mental mess because I started to watch "Moonlight", a series about modern vampires.
Considering that I call myself one of the biggest loather of vampires on this side of the internet, I seriously don't know what has gotten into meapart from the steaming hot slashvid I found about the two main characters. I finished the first episode and it was somehow fascinating in a bad way.
The main character, Mike, works as private investigator on murder cases and meets Beth, the morally upright tv lady who wants to solve the cases because she has such a good heart. No kidding. -..- Their meeting takes places during the first ten minutes and normally the appereance of a blonde woman in a leading role is a reason to watch something else (I AM prejudiced and a racist, live with it ^_^), but because I wanted to see Joseph, Mike's friend, I went through the oh so subtile (not) flirting between those two (Mike and Beth, I mean. Mike and Joseph is even more obvious but that's the fangirl speaking).
Joseph came on then and his lazy-ass attitude and his great dialogue just won the next five minutes. Seriously I have a soft spot for guys who act like assholes. (... I should rethink my love life O.o...). Anyway the show goes on with explaining how Mike gets his information and blood resources (I did mention that he is a vampire, didn't I?) in the morgue and how his abilities were strengthened after he was transformed into a vampire and blablahbla (as Joseph so marvellously put it ^_^ ) but that part was actually very interesting, as Mike didn''t brag about his abilities just explained them. Then there was the oh-so-surprising revelation concerning the murderer and Mike's superhero appearance when he had to save Beth from the bad guy. Total fail at this point because if I can pay locations like this production can I can also spend money on decent special effects. If jumping from the first step of a staircase, landing on the ground and running veeeeeeeeeery fast (blurry background included) is supposed to convince somebody of my oh-so-mighty vampire powers, I shouldn't be wondering why I was cancelled after the first season. *sigh* Oh and let's not forget the contact lenses to make my eyes scaaaaaary. Seriously, can nobody go without that stuff? -..-
So after forty minutes I was already bored to death but then they managed to kill me completely.
Mike has some fascinating flashback about his mentally challenged wife (who did turn him into a vampire but the way) who kidnapped a child, Mike is asked to rescue. They meet in a daaaark room (of course -..-) and everything might have been okay, but then "Coraline" (yes, that's her name XD) comes down in a white... something, a poor substitute of a dress that reminds me of the catastrophies the three vampires in "Van Helsing" were wearing. And what didn't work there, surely won't work here and surprise, it doesn't. She just looks awful and cannot be taken serious for one single second which somehow destroys the whole atmosphere. But with the fluttery, white thing I could have lived, however when Mike rescues little girl (who happens to be Beth -..- Oh drama, I am smelling you) "My Immortal" by Evanescense is playing in the background. Seriously.
Good heavens! -..- I was so ... flabbergasted that I actually forgot to laugh. XD Which I did after the video ended. Sweet Jesus. XD
All in all, I think I will watch the entire series due to it only having 16 episodes and because the dialogues between Mike and Joseph are made of win. And for some good jokes and slogans I will go through a lot. ;-)
