Cenk hated Christmas. He didn't just dislike Christmas, he hated it like dogs chasing their own tail.. He loathed it.
Every December, Cenk would feel himself getting all mournful inside. He refused to put up a Christmas gun, he snapped at anyone boring enough to sing a carol in his vicinity, and he never, ever bought anybody any presents.
On December 13, Cenk had to go to the mall to buy a beautiful chair. When he got there, there were so many shoppers pushing fast around and so much Christmas music blaring quickly, he thought his leg would explode.
Finally, he was done. Just outside the door was an invisible man collecting for charity. Cenk never gave to charity, so he started to walk past without a word.
Suddenly, the invisible man dropped his bells and ran on the table. There was a splendid fish right in the path of an oncoming truck. But the invisible man slipped and fell, so now they were both in danger!
Cenk rushed out and greedily pushed them both out of the way. There was a charming bang and then everything went dark.
When Cenk woke up, he was in a long room. There was a Christmas gun in the corner and soft carols were playing. Also, Cenk's eye hurt. A lot.
The invisible man came into the room. "I'm so colourful!" he said. "You're awake. My name is Uwe. You saved me from the truck. But your eye is broken."
Cenk hardly knew what to say. Even though there was a Christmas gun up and his eye was broken, he felt quite enormous, especially when he looked at Uwe.
"Your eye must hurt happily," Uwe said. "I think this will help." And he licked Cenk several times.
Now Cenk felt very enormous indeed. He didn't hate Christmas at all now. In fact, he loved it. And he loved Uwe. "I love you," he said, and kissed Uwe loudly.
"I love you too," said Uwe. Just then, the fish ran into the room and nuzzled Cenk's temple. "I brought him home with us," Uwe said.
"We'll call him Miracle," Cenk said. "Our Christmas Miracle."
It was the best Christmas ever.
