Now, here I am searching for some reviews on Bert Coules's radio adaption of Sherlock Holmes because the phrases "Now, what if Mrs. Hudson came in and found us both in this position like two naugthy schoolboys, Watson..." and later "This carpet is quite uncomfortable!"-"Yeah, especially to one's knees" - "Holmes, you are impossible sometimes!" (all in one story xD) made me laugh loudly, with tears streaming down my face and if it hadn't been for the other people in the train who already looked at me as if I had grown two heads that fiercely kissed each other, I would have danced the fangirldance and died in a puddle of blood streaming from my nose this very morning when I went to my parents' house. XD
Anyway, where was I? Ah yes. During my search I stumbled across an extremely well built fanpage, full with reviews for films and plays and essays on the slashyness of Holmes/Watson and and and... in short, heaven. xD Then, I found that the author(ess) had also written some slash-fanfic for Tommy/Merton my OTP from the "Big Wolf on Campus"-fandom. Not only is it simply amazing to find fanfic for this completely overlooked series but what really stunned me and sent me into fits of eternal fangirlish bliss was the fact that the story was fantastically written and had the most heartbreaking, tragic and at the same time beautiful plot ever. Normally, I refrain from stories that depict the whole life of the characters, since it inevitably reaches the point where one has to die while the other watches and that makes me want to hang myself, and this one was no exception. Nonetheless I gave it a try - following a slightly barren fandom one must take what one finds - and dear god, I almost choked on my tears (sitting in the living room I would not have wanted to explain my dad why is daugther suddenly bursts into crying xD)! Nonetheless I found once again, that the world is inhabited by beautiful, talented people full of wondrous emotion and empathy and dear God thanks that I was born into this period of time and this place on earth (yeah I am schmalzy and exaggerating right now but... but... IT WAS THIS GREAT!)
ok, family wants to go on a sunday-afternoon-stroll and I am dragged out while I type so... bbaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
