Yesterday morning applying to the local bakery sounded like a really good idea. Now, today, after having to get up at 7.30 (a time that doesn't even exist in my holiday-schedule) I might change my opinion... xDD
But oh well the employer-lady was very nice and incredibly energetic (at 8 o'clock in the morning, ftw!) so I immediately felt very comfortable. Working at a bakery surely won't be that hard - not after doing a waitress-job with fugly men attempting to touch you and getting drunk as if there were no tomorrow. -..- xD Besides I really like cakes and donuts (=D) and even as a temporary help I will get discount on the products. =D I just hope that I will be able to remember the prices and the different sorts of baked goods etc. ("Well I would recommend this one with the... fruits. Or if you would like this one... with the other fruits..." <.>)
After the appointment at Baker Street (oh come on, I HAD to do this joke xD), I went to promarkt to buy the missing cable for our phone. Since I had to wait another hour, I strolled around and found a McDonald's and say what you want about their monopolizing immoral behaviour towards unhealthy food, employees and so on, but there is no better way to kill some time than sitting at McCafe, sipping some Cappucino and relaxing in those most comfortable armchairs. xDD (Well, having my Holmes audio books with me helped a great deal, too)
Anyway I then returned to the shop only to be greeted by hundreds of people eagerly awaiting the opening - seriously don't these people have work to do at ten o'clock in the morning?! So, after spending some time looking through the DVD/CD/games-section I found myself a clerk and we had the following exquisite dialogue:
Me. Excuse me, sir, do you happen to have [special sort of cable] in your product line?
Clerk: No.
Me: ... *eagerly waiting for more information*
Clerk: ... *looking at me as if I was Nessie*
Me: Uhm, ok. One of your products requires such a cable, you know, so could you perhaps recommend me any sort of surrogate I could apply?
Clerk: No, I don't know about these things.
Me: ... Ok, well, then, does one of your colleagues happen to be able to tell me what I need?
Clerk: I don't think so. You should ask in another electronic market.
Me: BELIEVE ME I WILL! *draws sword and decapitates him*
Of course I did not, but I was seconds from throwing heavy things at him. Come on, what sort of treatment is that? I am a customer, I was polite (I even smiled at him!) and I was really eager to spend money in his shop so that I would partly pay for his salary and this is what I get? Spock, hand me my phaser, I have some foul lifeforms to eliminate! -..-
I will stop lamenting now and be productive: finishing the last work sheets for my English-class perhaps or watching Star Trek. xD
