I just finished "Victory of Eagles" and I think I know what you meant when you said there was this one thing you couldn't forgive Lien... Now excuse me while I'm sinking to the floor in a sobbing mess (THE WHOLE THING WITH LAURENCE AND THE RAIDS AND THARKAY "What are you doing?" AND TEMERAIRE BEING COMPLETELY UNHAPPY AND LAURENCE BEING A STUPID STUPID STUPID IDIOT AND JANE BEING THE ONLY ONE INTELLIGENT ENOUGH TO THINK OF OTHER WAYS TO GO ABOUT THE TREASON and... oh God, I can't anymore, I'm so freaking sad on behalf of everybody but especially Laurence who lost his innocence forever (and not in the fun way!) and errbody being stupid and fearsome of the dragons and I AM SHAKING AND CRYING Q________Q)

It was... embarrassing to put it mildly but thank God it only lasted a year or so for me - when Éomer appeared for the first time the pointy-eared bastard never even showed up on my radar anymore didn't keep me from keeping my Legolas-poster on my door for about seven years though.
