Ahh, autumn. I like it. I really do. October is my favourite month (and May, but that's just the greedy I-want-presents-birthday-girl speaking xD).
So I decided to get a new journal style, complete with autumn-leaves and autumn-brown and autumn-red and everything. And apples because after yesterday's SPN-marathon (including me being emo, because Castiel wasn't there and me being hyper because he returned =D) I had a really unnatural craving for apples. Nom.
RIght now I am reading "The Unburied" by Charles Palliser ("Die schwarze Kathedrale") and boy, it's boring. I have barely managed to read 150 pages of almost 500 and so far I neither like the story nor the main character whose most thrilling experience so far was a search through an old library where he wants to find a document that tells a different version of the death of King Alfred. That could be really fun to read if only we had not been forced to read three different versions already. Damn it. -..- Seriously, why would I want to read about a university professor doing university research? And believe me all he does is exactly that. Hell, they even tell him that it is "very important to think about the receiver of the letter in one's research because that may give a hint on the writer's intention." OH REALLY? THANK YOU FOR THIS NEW AND EXCITING BIT OF INFORMATION. -..-
I don't know if I'll finish the book. It's way too boring for that. -..-
(And yeah I am not talking about football again because I am still too devastated. Spanish Inquisition and Milan fashion week killed me).

Date: 2010-10-01 07:15 pm (UTC)Ich ärgere mich auch immer, wenn sich rausstellt, das ein Buch dessen Klappentext mich eigentlich begeistert hat, eine Katastophe ist. >-<
