Oh thank you so much for everything you said about Cowboys and Aliens! I was so very, very exited to see this movie because: Cowboys. Aliens. Grumpy old men. GRUMPY OLD MEN. - Awesome idea, I kinda liked the "Why the hell are aliens here?" and it looked great but I left the cinema with a clear "Meh..." I still feel (but am not entirely sure) it would have been a lot better if she hadn't been an alien, just a human girl with her own rescue mission and if they would have had to figure things out themselves (okay, I have no idea how they would have done that and it would have become a lot slower movie I suppose, but I think not having a real explanation could have worked, too...) Well, that was the aspect of the not really a-plot that bothered me the most, but probably better story writing of any variety would have helped a lot. But it was kind of fun nevertheless. (And I'm not sure the Doctor even had a name... Oh well, IMDb lists Sam Rockwell as "Doc".)
Anyway, till today I only heard "Oh what a shitty movie, I hate it, it's stupid" or "OMG the best movie evarrrrr!", so thank you. ;)
