nessanielAfter being up all night due to the oscars (what a party xD) I was deadly tired throughout the day. Didn't matter though since the children in English were quite bright and made efforts to understand my rambling. XD
English was then quickly followed by mathematics - the girl was completely lost concerning the linear algebraic equations and dear God I could feel her pain - I myself needed some moments to remember the long-forgotten ways of abstract mathematical theories and the Quadratic equation (pq-Formel. Seriously I didn't think that I would need that ever again O_O) and I felt that there was a long way to go. The girl is so heartbreakingly sweet and eager to learn the stuff, but I fear that the gaps in her knowlegde are already too wide. However I will try my best and at least help her to get a 4 in maths. Poor child. =/
Anyway... inspired by the academy award for Make-Up Star Trek won, I went and got myself the first half of the second season of TOS. Ahwwww sparkly time (first episode on the DVDs being Pon-Faar, I think I will drown in the blood streaming from my nose this night XD). Oh and I finally got around to pin the Dolce&Gabbana-poster on my wall - the one with the unbelieveably slashy content. Well I thought it unique until I did some research on google and OMG they are doing a lot of those! *fans self* I really don't understand why there isn't a huuuuuge fanbase full of ravishing fangirls who drool over the hotness and naughty positions of those pretty poster-boys ... or is there and I simply missed it? XD

Date: 2010-03-09 05:35 pm (UTC)Hach jaaa, Mathe ist toll. Man kann Lücken sogar noch in der 12 stopfen - da hab ich nämlich erst kapiert, wie e-Funktionen gehen. Sooo einfach! Und die pq-Formel ist mal echt niedlich! :D
... Ich war nie besonders gut in Mathe, aber in der Uni hab ich mich selbst übertroffen (aufbauend auf den in der 12 plötzlich verstandenen Stoff). Ich drück dir die Daumen, dass das mit dem Mädel klappt.

Date: 2010-03-11 11:05 am (UTC)Ja, in der 12 ist der Groschen bei mir gefallen, ich bedaure es, momentan keine Möglichkeit zu haben, das Gelernte ein wenig zu festigen - ein paar Kurse in Mathe wären bestimmt nicht schlecht, wenn ich im dritten Semester dann auf die BWL-Importmodule schiele. Aber bis dahin hab ich ja noch Zeit. XD
Ich wünsch es dem Kind so sehr. Sie macht sich soviele Gedanken und ist eines der höflichsten und liebenswertesten Mädchen, die ich in dieser Altersgruppe (10. Klasse Realschule) je kennengelernt habe. Ich drück ihr alle Daumen, die ich habe. xD
