Harry Potter movie marathon
Jul. 13th, 2009 11:41 amWe don't seem to learn from our mistakes.
krawall, Princess Blueberry, Conan, Mäckie Messer and myself went through a whole night of wizards, owls, Dementors, werewolves and everything else related with "Harry Potter". From eleven p.m. to seven a.m until eyes and ears were bleeding and burning. XD
Although I have to admit that I was never really into the movies at all, I still found it interesting to see the change of quality between the second (I got spared the first movie because I had to watch "Cyrano" XD) and fifth movie. The second one was to put it bluntly boring to no end. Kenneth Branagh was indeed the only highlight that kept me sane during those two hours of hell -..- (apart from Snape of course XD). The third one however always manages to grab my attention and keep it until Sirius' and Remus' endearing hug in the Shrieking Shack, where my thoughts always take the train to Slashtown... "Sirius is better than Tonks!" XD
Last but not least, the fifth one which caught me in a whiny mood. I almost cried when Sirius fell through the veil although I totally despise that scene, because it is made of fail. Epic fail. -..- However: the emotions depicted in the book, the dimension of tragedy arising from the fact, that no one speaks with nobody, nobody tells anybody anything and everybody is left alone with his/her own problems (basically the main problem that Luna Lovegood points out in the midst of the movie, in order to help to ease Harry's pain) triggers grief and sympathy in poor Kiwi-baby, so much that I even remembered this heartbreaking scene when Harry - after his godfather's death - finds the communication-mirror that Sirius bestowed upon him just before he left Grimmauld Place. How cruel... the tool to speak to Sirius, to assure Harry of his almost-uncle's safety, was always near him. Only his pride kept him from using it... Great, I am crying again. XD
So please, dear people, let's somehow pay heed to this "moral of the story" and talk to each other a bit more often. Just a bit. And all the future Siriuses will be spared a cruel fate. *waves hug-signs*

Another completely useless detail: Today I bought my first "My little pony"-figure ever! =) She is called Sweetie Belle, a G2-unicorn-pony (at least that's what I think :D) and she is described as being "sweet and kind to everyone" (<- me :D). I had to buy her, because of the lollipops printed on her!

I never questioned how Fred and Goerge got that map, because, well, they're Fred and Goerge, but here it seemed just like a neat gadget or something. Hello?! That map was important!
Yeah yeah, who cares for James if you can have Sirius and Remus, eh? *g* I do understand that they tried to concentrate on Harry's story in the movies and that they couldn't leave everything in, but the marauders thing was kind of a big deal...
Yes, big city cinema FTW! :D I'm feeling just a tad bad for our local cinema, but you know... I've got that great university ticket for free train rides and stuff and the cinema next to Ddorf Hbf is just awesome! You'll probably still have fun in your tiny 100-people cinema. :P
"Dance of the Vampires"? The musical? If so, <3!
