Some of the films I'd really like to watch if the movie theater wasn't that expensive. *le sigh*

1. Pacific Rim
I feel like I've already seen the whole movie because of tumblr going crazy with it but I still want towatch it on a big screen - and weep over what Transformers could have been had it not been Michael Bay making the films (and now Bay is making a Turtles-movie. Oh God, someone take the rights away from him)

2. Now you see me
Did anyone know this movie was coming out??? I saw the posters and ads when we were in London but I hadn't heard zip about it here in Germany. It's Michael Caine and Mark Ruffalo and Morgan Freeman and Jesse Eisenberg and MAGICKS and a detective story! This looks so promising!

3. Trance
James McAvoy needs to be in more things. Oh and Vincent Cassel too! (Just don't make the psychologist sleep with anyon...never mind. God, movies -..-)

4. Thor - The Dark World
Yeah, as if that was a surprise. ;DDD

5. Rush
I already gushed about it and I'm still very excited for the movie. Although Daniel Brühl's English is making me wish I could watch this film in original and the dubbed version (for Chris Hemsworth's voice is doing things to me xD).

6. City of Bones
Something tells me that the film is going to fail so hard but I'm here for the werewolves and pretty Magnus.

7. The Hobbit

No surprises there too....

8. The Lego Movie

It looks so adorable and it will probably be the closest thing to a Wonder Woman movie we are ever gonna get...

Yes to all of these. Also, Wolverine (if only for shirtless!Hugh) and The World's End and so, so much more I stopped making lists *gg*

You were in London?

Oh, and how are you? I miss you so, so hard (nicht auf der Schleimspur ausrutschen bitte)

Yeah I was tempted to put Wolverine on the list, but... I don't know... the trailer looks so bland! =( And I still don't like the last movie (apart from the scene where he is jumping down the waterfall butt naked xD) and so my trust in the XMen franchise has been thoroughly destroyed.

Oh damn, I didn't even tell, did I? Yeah we were there from the 15th till 18th of July, dying of heat and just doing some touristy stuff. xD

Sorry that I'm such a lazy silent bum these days, I'm lacking motivation and dying of heat so I can't even bring myself to write entries anymore (or comments... shame on me xD). I promise to try being not so silent anymore ^^

I hear that the post-credit scene is quite exciting ^^ To be honest, I only want to watch Wolverine to be able to rant about it again. I'm pretty sure it sucks just as much as the first one did.

Well at least you missed the baby-tourists ^^ Sounds still like a lot of fun ^^

I didn't mean to complain or to make you feel bad. Just, you know, whine about the fact that I haven't seen you in ages ;)

Dawwww, it's so nice to be missed. ;D No really, I had all the warm and fuzzy feelings. q.q I'll try to be back! Really!

pinku was really excited for the baby-craze but alas we missed it (I'm not so sad about it but I'm pretty sure it would have been a nice party xD) - London was stuffed with tourists as it was, anyway. ;D

Maybe we should rent the movie when it's available on DVD and watch it together? =D

Promises, promises ;) But don't stress yourself out. I'm just glad you're still alive ^^

Of what I saw in the news, it would have been hard to get through the masses of people. I don't think that would have been a lot of fun (or that's just me and the general "I hate people"-thing I have going on XD)

I see another night of movie watching coming up. I mean, *I* remember the plans to watch The Expendables 2 together ;)
(And Almost Human. I don't think I can watch this on my own XD)

From: [identity profile] nessaniel.livejournal.com
YES! Almost Human pilot watch date is so set!

And Expendables 2. Aka Barney and Lee adopt a child and everything is painfully cliché and great xD

Oh and look what movie I forgot: Here be the snow

Monday November 4th ^^ I honestly can't wait!!

I... don't even know. As long as they still bicker like they did in the first one XD

A sacred train? A SACRED TRAIN?? This sounds so, so, so... OMG XD

The only way I'm going to watch Pacific Rim is if the monsters kick the robots' metal arses. Monsters > Robots, everytime. :p

We saw the trailer for Now You See Me when we went to see Iron Man 3. I'm of two minds about it. On the one hand it looked like it had interesting ideas, on the other hand it also looked kinda boring and pretentious. :/

But yay for Hobbit and Thor, and I might see Rush, and then I will be broke! :p

City of Bones... as much as I love a pretty fantasy flick ... NO that woman is not getting any money from me until she apologises for being a dickhead. Until then I'll only watch it if someone pirates it for me. ;)

Whaaaat? No way! Were you rooting for the angels in Neon Genesis Evangelion? Well, who didn't, the main character was such a whiny brat, I'd have loved to see him blow up xD But the robots and the shiny "We need to share our minds AND EVERY DIRTY LITTLE SECRET"-stuff is so much fun! *v*

Pretentious... you could be right about that, but I sat through the whole of "The Dark Knight Returns", so nothing can shock me now. xD And IT'S MARK RUFFALO,THE GUY NEEDS TO BE IN MORE THINGS ANYWAY. LIKE A HULK MOVIE. OR SOMETHING WITH WEREWOLVES. Or as a cute fuzzy FBI-Agent with a cool, blonde lady-friend. ;D

Uhh? That woman? o.O Do you mean the main actress? What did she do??? O_O

Date: 2013-07-30 03:35 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] asthenie-vd.livejournal.com
I never watched NGE. But, yes, if the monsters look like cool animals enough (or better yet, dragons) I will always root for the monsters. Even worse, I am not into robots at all. So good robots vs evil monsters is a double "meh" for me. :P

Yeees, I know. Mark Ruffalo is made of love and rainbows, but tickets are so expensive nowadays! Love and Rainbows are not enough!

I'm surprised you've never heard about the wank surrounding this film, and originally the books it's based on. O_O

That woman is the author of these books. She used to be a HP fanfic writer who plagiarised other authors' work (quotes from TV shows, whole pages of books) a lot (and basically her book series is her re-hashed HP fanfic, but that's not the point here). She waged a cyberwar against anyone who pointed out her blatant plagiarism and even intrigued to get one of her critics, a random girl she didn't even know personally, thrown out of her university (by framing her for hacking). All for criticising her work and methods.

It's been ten years but the author never acknowledged her shitty behavior in fandom and outside of fandom, nor did she ever apologise to the people (plural) whose offline lives she invaded (phone calls to parents, to the police, ffs!) for calling her out.

I usually try to seperate art from its creators but this hints at a level of pettiness and vindictiveness I do not wish to support at the box office, because it makes my skin crawl. Plus the majority of reviews of her books by people with good taste on goodreads are pretty bad. XD

If I'd known that not only the books are HP-fics, but she also treated people like that, I'd never bought her books in the first place D: (And yes, the books are not good. As in very, very stereotypical - and the slightly hinted incest is not the worst about them)

If you ever feel a bit bored google cassie clare + fandomwank. It's like a primer on cyber bullying. O_O

Incest? No wonder. I think her fics were mostly Ginny/Draco & Ginny/Ron.

I just googled it and it's even worsen than I imagined... woah. I have a mighty need to burn the book right now and pirate the movie (and I'm so sorry for all the actors who signed onto this film and probably killed their careers before they even started...)

I spent way to much time making my way through some posts, and... wtf?
(I always wonder how people can be like that. I wouldn't even find the *time* to start a cyber war with anyone oO)

Holy fucking shit. I did not know any of this! A friend of mine told me about the books and I borrowed the first one - it was cliché, but rather innocent fun for much younger readers I thought. But woah... I am so not gonna give that movie my money now. Woah. o.o

Sorry I ruined the movie for you, but that woman makes my skin crawl ... shall I do the same for Ender's Game or are you already informed about the sorry excuse for a human being who wrote that particular book?

Naaw, it's alright. I'm just sad for some of the actors, the movie is gonna fail so hard *lesigh*.

I know about the Ender's Game guy. A friend of mine had to do a presentation in school about him (dystopia and all that jazz) and we had a nice discussion in class about what an ass he is, basically XDDD

Since Anglo-Filles talked about Pacific Rim I sort of want to watch it, too even though it's not really my genre.

No comment on The Hobbit neccessary ^^
And Damn it...just when I though there was no way in hell I could be interested in Formula 1 this shiney trailer comes along....NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

FORMULA 1!!!!!! I lost interest in it about three years ago AND I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHY (Oh I know. Because I moved out and so I didn't have access to my parents' paid-tv anymore and I couldn't be bothered to watch the races on RTL xD) But this is really a great and wonderful story, you don't even have to like the sport, just the rivalry/friendship between the two guys and the movie does look so SHINY AND PRETTY, RIGHT???

What nessaniel said. ^^ It's not just some Formula 1 movie. This is about Niki Lauda. The guy's a legend. His relationship with Hunt and the accident and his recovery are like something straight from the lands of fiction, so you needn't worry about not giving a fuck about the sport in order to enjoy the story!

I don't care for the sport either, but its an intriguing story, even if you're ignorant about the racing context. O_O Plus, LOOK at the cast. aoiehfsueijsofieheoi! Brühl and Hemsworth!

In other words: YES YOU WANT TO WATCH THIS MOVIE!

D: I did not know you you were that passionate about this movie/story ^^
(I vaguely know about Nicky Lauda...even my mother knows him and she cares about Formula 1 even less than I do ^^)

Brühl and Hemsworth!
And then there is this...*drools*

I am only passionate on the internet. The people I hope will invite me to go to the cinema with them to see this flick must never know that I think this is a great story. :p otherwise they might force me to watch more dvds about racing cars

SPEED RACER comes to mind. That is a racing car movie that is not as dumb as Fast&Furios and its wonderfully shiny and pretty. ;DDDD So just in case your secret gets revealed, you might propose this shiny piece of candy in order to save yourself from boredom? ;DDDD

The Hobbit is a must, yes! As is Thor. :)

IDK about Pacific Rim, I've seen the love for it on tumblr, but I'm not really interestd enough. Perhaps later on DVD.

I've seen "Now you see me". Liked it well enough, especially the first half was great. The solution was a bit WTF Really?, though.

What I definitely need to see is The Lone Ranger (because Johnny Depp, although I'm not such a fan anymore like I used to be), This Is The End (I think that was the title, where Seth Rogen & Co. play themselves while the world is ending) and The Worlds End (Simon Pegg! Martin Freeman! The End of the Cornetto Trilogy!).

Ah man, I'd love to see "Now you see me" but as always there is no way to watch the original version around here. Blargh.

I hope you will enjoy the movies! *v*
